World’s Largest Swimming Pool San Alfonso del Mar

The pool complex of the Resort San Alfonso del Mar, is the largest pool in the world according to the Guinness Book.

This resort is located at Camino Algarrobo Mirasol, Valparaíso, Chile.

The pool has 1,013 m in length, 250 million liters of clear brine. A work of $ 1.5 billion, and a maintenance costing annually about $ 4 million. A computerized system filters the seawater and directs the pool, which is then treated and returned to the sea.

In addition to swimming, guests can go kayaking, sailing, diving and cross the pool using a barge service offered by the resort. In a huge glass pyramid, the glass dome style Louvre Museum in France, guests can enjoy the heated area, in a beachy atmosphere even in cold weather. Inside the glass structure the guest can sunbathe on a sandy beach. The pool is heated pyramid still surrounded by several Jacuzzi.

At some points, the pool has up to 35 meters deep, you can go diving. For children and people who like to play in the water, the pool has protected locations with lower depths. On cold days, or rain can use the complex of heated pools glass pyramid.
I advise to go in the summer months, which gives to enjoy the pool without feeling cold and as the days are long gives to stay up late at night taking advantage of the resort.
This post is about the largest pool and not covering entire resort. The Resort San Alfonso del Mar, does not work with tour operators. Price range from $ 500 to $ 800, on average. There are ten buildings (pyramid-shaped) with, in all, about 1,000 apartments.
